South Bay cities, in concert with the South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG), are committed to providing a more livable, equitable, and economically vibrant community and sub-region through the implementation of energy efficiency measures and subsequent reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. By using energy more efficiently, South Bay cities will keep dollars in the local economy, create new green jobs, and improve the community’s quality of life. The efforts toward increasing energy efficiency described in these reports will be done in coordination with the City’s other planning and land use decisions. Through these Energy Efficiency Climate Action Plans (EECAP), South Bay cities have established goals and policies that incorporate environmental responsibility into their daily management of their communities and municipal operations.
