Transit Operators Working Group

The Transit Operators Working Group (TOWG) is made up of representatives from municipal operators including Beach Cities Transit, Gardena Transit, Torrance Transit, Palos Verdes Transit, Carson Circuit, and Lawndale Beat.  TOWG focuses on improving and expanding public transportation services in the South Bay.  The agencies work together to secure funding and to advocate transit policy perspectives to Metro, South Bay elected officials, and agency staff.  Topics the TOWG is particularly interested in include: fixed route bus and rail services, transit facilities and infrastructure; South Bay service expansion and coordination; bus technology; safety improvements; legislation and funding opportunities; transit policy and regulations; and other related issues that impact transit service.
