This virtual meeting is held pursuant to AB 361 (Chapter 165, Statutes of 2021) issued by Governor Gavin Newsom on September 16, 2021. Committee members may participate by teleconference/virtual meeting due to state and local officials recommending measures to promote social distancing. Members of the public may participate by teleconference/virtual meeting in order to restrict the imminent risk to the health and safety of attendees.

G. South Bay Fiber Network – 12:10 PM
 LATA Grant – up to $500,000
o Magellan will work with the SBCCOG to develop the grant’s proposed scope of work that may include a sub-regional market analysis, GIS mapping, other digital inclusion efforts as identified by member agencies
o Contract with grant writer – approved 6/29/22 under Executive Director’s authority – $5000
o Amendment to Magellan contract to assist with grant writing – to be available at the meeting
 ACTION: Approve Magellan contract amendment and report to the Board

 Dues & Assessments received from El Segundo, Inglewood, Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes & Torrance
 We have been notified that Rolling Hills will only pay $1000 of the $2000 assessment. They are receiving substantial services from the regional planner and staff requests that the Steering Committee members discuss this and provide direction
 ACTION: Provide direction on the partial payment of the assessment by the City of Rolling Hills for the 2nd time in two years

 Welcome kits – some possibilities
 Data – we need access to LAHSA data and it was part of Blue Ribbon Commission recommendations which were approved. Data is needed from the county for several reasons including to correct errors in LAHSA data
