B. DWP contract extension

  • LADWP has renewed their contract with Southern California Gas Company to pay for SBESC services from the SBCCOG from January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019
  • ACTION:  Recommend Board approve Gas Company amendment to contract with SBCCOG  for services for LADWP when received 

 

C. South Bay Environmental Services Center Activities Report – attached 

  • 2018 Energy Savings Goal – 1,245,812 kWh 2018 Status: 1,675,551 kWh 
  • GOAL EXCEEDED: by 134.5%
  • 2018 Demand Reduction Goal – 43.21 kWh 2018 Status: 89 kW
  • GOAL EXCEEDED: by 205.6%

I. Update on Homeless Program – 1:05 pm

  • Time to sign up for the homeless count – January 23
  • STARTING IN MARCH, EACH MEETING WE HOPE TO FOCUS ON A PROJECT OF ONE OF OUR CITIES.  INGLEWOOD WILL BE THE FIRST AND THEY REQUESTED THAT THIS BE A REGULAR AGENDA ITEM.
  • AMERICAN STREETKID – a documentary on youth, teenager and young adults living on the streets in Santa Monica, Venice and Hollywood and it follows their stories.  People featured in the movie have been invited to attend for a discussion after the film.– JANUARY 30, Wednesday – 7 pm, Redondo Beach Performing Arts – suggested donation to Spare Change of $20 cash or check. Invites to cities, schools, social service agencies.  Daily Breeze/Easy Reader coverage and maybe free ad.
