Energy Efficiency Tips
Turn off power strips
Unplug “energy vampires” such as microwaves and chargers when not in use. Energy vampires account for 10% of your energy usage, and energy bill, costing Americans $19 billion in energy every year
Use high intensity appliances such as coffee makers and space heaters intentionally, as little as possible
Opt for LED lighting, and check your local energy provider’s website for rebates and incentives if you’re upgrading
Open the blinds to let in sunlight or open the windows to let in a breeze for natural heating and cooling
Purchase clean energy from your energy provider
