The Regional Broadband Network Working Group is made up of city staff of various departments with the goal of implementing a South Bay broadband network.  To maintain and advance economic viability and growth in the South Bay, the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB), in partnership with the South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG), has established the need for infrastructure to attract investment and support business growth. Today, access to broadband internet service is as vital as streets, water, and sewer infrastructure. Broadband connectivity enhances a community’s economic development potential by attracting new advanced businesses and providing existing businesses the tools they need to expand.
