CLOSED: Request for Quote for Bulk Purchase LED Lighting

The SBCCOG is pleased to announce the extension of city deadlines to submit final Southern California Edison (SCE) incentive applications for the outdoor lighting projects included in the Request for Proposal (RFQ). This extension gives cities and contractors additional time to purchase and install outdoor lighting. 

Below are the dates when the work must be completed including the final incentive paperwork submitted to SCE:

• Carson – 11/30/2020
• El Segundo – estimated Q1 of 2021
• Hawthorne – estimated Q1 of 2021
• Inglewood – estimated Q1 of 2021
• Manhattan Beach – 9/25/2020
• Redondo Beach – 1/7/2021
• Torrance – estimated Q1 of 2021 

The cities have been informed and are factoring these new deadlines into their decision and purchasing process. Cities will contact their selected contractor directly once they have made their final decision.

The intent of this Request for Quote (RFQ) is to allow the South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG) to facilitate the bulk purchase of various exterior LED fixtures on behalf of the following cities: Carson, El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, and Torrance. Other South Bay cities may be interested in participating in the bulk purchase; however the need has not yet been identified. Quotes should state how long the pricing is good for. Participating cities will enter into individual agreements with the selected providers. The bulk purchase of LED fixtures should provide SBCCOG member cities with volume pricing discounts. Cities will negotiate separately in any manner necessary to serve their best interests. See complete RFQ attached at the bottom of the page.

Questions: Submit all questions in writing via email to [email protected], on or before Monday, November 5, 2018. Answers will be posted by 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at: www.southbaycities.org.

Quote Due Date: Tuesday, November 27, 2018, before 4:00 p.m. Quotes received after this date will be rejected. Requests for extensions of this time and date will not be granted. Quotes or unsolicited amendments to quotes received by the SBCCOG after the acceptance date will not be considered.

Recommendation of Preferred Consultants: Tuesday, December 4, 2018

The SBCCOG will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by a firm in preparing and submitting a proposal.
