2025 Commercial Direct Install Programs

In partnership with the SoCalREN, the SBCCOG implemented the Commercial Direct Install and Food Desert Energy Efficiency Equity programs, supporting businesses in South Bay disadvantaged communities.

Energy Benchmarking for South Bay Cities: Did You Know?

Under the California Energy Benchmarking Program (AB802), property owners are required to submit benchmarking reports of buildings over 50,000 square feet, as well as campuses of buildings with over 50,000 square feet combined, by June 1 of each year. SBCCOG works with cities to satisfy these requirements by benchmarking their properties in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, an online tool used to track and assess energy, water and waste consumption.
