American Dark Fiber, LLC (“ADF”) is a telecommunication infrastructure development company based in Los Angeles. ADF is a certified utility by the CPUC and holds a Certificate of public Convenience (U-7342C) to deploy fiber optic cables in the public rights of way (ROW). ADF developed the South Bay Fiber Network (“SBFN”) in cooperation with the SBCCOG, which became operational in 2020. ADF designed, engineered, and deployed the network throughout the South Bay. The network interconnects all cities within the SBCCOG region with fiber optics and includes connections to world-class datacenters in El Segundo and Hawthorne. ADF facilitates the delivery of bandwidth by Race Communications, to provide high-speed internet and transport capacity to member cities, agencies, and anchor institutions in the SBCCOG subregion. ADF’s construction and system maintenance provider in the project is HP Communications, based in Corona, CA. HP has a regional construction and field response center located in the Los Angeles region. Our team is vested in creating digital pathways to empower transportation initiatives, regional economic development, educational improvements, and to increase the general quality of life for all South Bay residents. The Water Replenishment District (WRD) has been managing and protecting groundwater resources for over 60 years. WRD manages two of the most utilized groundwater basins in the nation which provide nearly half of the drinking water for 4 million residents in the 43 cities of southern Los Angeles County. Through WRD’s Water Independence Now (WIN) Program, the District has developed a resilient and locally sustainable source of water for groundwater replenishment. WRD operates three water treatment facilities including two advanced water purification facilities and a groundwater desalter.
