Livable Communities Mtg Sept 23, 2009
The Livable Communities Working Group is is re-scheduled to meet Sept 23, (one week later than the normal meeting date) at the SBESC offices in the City of Lawndale. Please see the meeting information and agenda below.
To: LCWG Members
From: Wally, SBCCOG
This month I will present the highlights of the Sustainable South Bay Strategy in the context of SB 375 implementation and our other related projects. This will synthesize most everything that is happening around land use and transportation. This information will be the foundation for the next several months of LCWG meetings.
The meeting In October will return to its normal day – 3rd Wednesday of the month. In the coming months I expect that Torrance will present its draft General Plan update and I will comment on its policies from the perspective of the Sustainable South Bay Strategy; and MTA operations will talk to us about how the regional bus transit system is structured.
Hope to see you all there. Don’t forget to RSVP to Sahar sahar@southbaycities.org. Because of the date change and late agenda, it is essential that we know how many of you will attend
